Even when the writing is going well there can be lots of anxiety. Tackling a novel is such a huge task and there are so many stages to the journey. Last week, I had hoped to revise two chapters a day. It’s an aggressive goal, but one that I thought was doable—especially because I am not fiddling with craft, just dropping in the things that need to be added and moving sections around.
However…
My day job was particularly intense and it spilled out of its usual time frame. This put me behind my schedule—which happens. Because of this, I always like to build in a buffer in all my schedules. I had a buffer in my schedule, but now, I have no more delay time.
Next week, it’s time for the big girl panties.
How are you doing with your goals? Is it time to recommit to anything?
Let’s do it!
