I suppose after I finish this round of promotions for my book, I’ll have a clearer idea of the difference between marketing and publicity. As I understand it now, marketing is direct approaches to selling the book and publicity is finding broad opportunities to put the book out there. So far my publicity efforts have included: responding to interview questions, pitching guest blog posts, and participating in in-person interviews. And for marketing, so far, I’ve filmed a promotional video for a new releases reel from the publisher.

Most of the efforts have yet to come to fruition and I’m REALLY hoping to get my site up before any more publicity happens (the site is in coding), but here is the first bit of publicity on Frolic Media.

I’ve got a few more items to take care of to keep the publicity train rolling!
