I got my editorial notes on Friday—which means it’s time to switch gears. I spent the last three weeks working on all manner of author administration now it’s time to get back to the grind.
The notes are significant—16 pages in total. I’ve got anxiety on one shoulder and confidence on the other—each mental state is preventing the other from getting a total foothold. The plus is I’ve been through this before. I have processes and procedures that will carry me through. The minus is I haven’t read the letter yet, it’s time to rip off the band-aid and let it begin.
It’s midnight and I just felt the need to commemorate the shift into the next phase. Are you shifting phases? Headed into or out of a focused work sprint? Let me know.
As for me, novel edits, here I come!
Onward!
